Phone number: used to verify your identity via a one-time code (OTP). Required to create an account.
Display name: a nickname you choose, shown to other players in the same session.
Email address: collected when you make your first booking. Stored on your account and shared with Paystack to process payment and send you a payment receipt.
Payment data: processed by Paystack. We do not store card numbers or bank account details. We store transaction references and booking status only.
Operational logs: API request logs on AWS CloudWatch, including your user ID, phone number, and booking/session identifiers, are retained for debugging and fraud prevention. Not used for analytics or shared with third parties.

Twilio Verify: delivers your OTP. Your phone number is sent to Twilio to initiate verification. Twilio Privacy Policy
Paystack: processes payments. Your email address and payment details are handled by Paystack under their PCI-DSS compliance, and Paystack sends you a payment receipt directly. Paystack Privacy Policy
Amazon Web Services (AWS): hosts our backend infrastructure in the EU (eu-west-1). AWS Privacy Policy
Data retention
We retain your account data (phone number, display name, email address, booking history) for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion at any time.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To submit a request, email info.football@chairpact.com. We will respond within 30 days.
Data security
All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Phone numbers are stored in AWS DynamoDB. Payments are processed by Paystack and never touch our servers in raw form.
Children
Play Footy 9ja is rated 4+ but is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from users under 18.
Changes to this policy
We will notify users of material changes via in-app notification. Continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
By using Play Footy 9ja, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
The service
Play Footy 9ja lets you browse and book spots in pre-arranged football sessions. Session hosts are responsible for organising the pitch; Play Footy 9ja facilitates payment and booking coordination only.
Acceptable use
You must be 18 or older to use the app.
You must provide a valid Nigerian, UK, US, Ghanaian, or UAE phone number.
Do not book spots you do not intend to use without cancelling in advance.
Play fairly. This is a community service for Nigerian football players.
Payments
Payments are processed by Paystack. By completing a payment, you agree to Paystack's terms. Play Footy 9ja charges the session price set by the session host.
Refunds
Spot bookings: full refund for cancellations made more than 24 hours before the session start time. No refund for cancellations made within 24 hours.
Whole pitch bookings: full refund for cancellations made more than 72 hours before the session start time. No refund for cancellations made within 72 hours. Cancelling a whole pitch booking releases all spots back to the session.
Refunds are processed via Paystack and may take 5 to 10 business days to reach your account.
Limitation of liability
Play Footy 9ja is not responsible for injuries, loss, or damage that occur during sessions. Session hosts are responsible for the safety of their sessions. Use the app at your own risk.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
